Om emnet

The main objective of ´Speculative Ideation...` is to improve the ability of the student of architecture to think with and through drawing by hand. In order for sustainable progression in act and articulation the  ´wants`and ´needs`  particular to the individual participant constitute a point of departure that is critical to this course. Exploring, testing and developing strategies for personal meaning making by drawing will be therefore referred to as ´internal aims`.

To ensure continuity, participators are required to choose a subject or a theme to investigate and explore throughout the course-period. To which degree the student´s work within the constraints of the chosen subject have resulted in meaningful insights will be referred to as ´external aims`. Working with content matter within ongoing studiocourses has proven to be productive, but is not a requirement.

Within drawing  the course aims at invigorating previously presented foundational skills and knowledge and introducing new ones. Exercises undertaken will draw upon the fields of art and architecture, Roughly speaking, the acquissition and use of skills and knowledge-comprehension that cover matters such as conventions of representation, drawing techniques and media will be referred to as ´formal aims`.
