Forskning
Lise Amy Hansen is a Professor of Design Research at the Institute of Design at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design. Her research focuses on the engagement of performance and technology, with a particular interest in body movement practices and their materialisations, relations, aesthetics and ethics.
Her work engages with collaborative practice across disciplines and sectors, and a researcher and educator, specialises in participatory and critically engaged design practices. She leads the research group ENACT that focus on designing for real-time experiences.
She is currently the Research Chair for AHO’s institute of Design and was Prorector of Research at AHO (2021-2025). She is on the SIKTs portfolio board for research - Porteføljestyret for forskings- og kunnskapsressursar (2020-). She is part of the working group for artistic research under UHR KDA (2021-) and has been part of the working group for the new NVA on developing ways for artistic research registrations and publications (2021-2025).
Trained at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art in London, she also brings experience from her years directing a studio engaged in urban regeneration and cultural sector projects, where interdisciplinary collaboration and experimental design practices were central.
Through her research, she situates design as a living, performative process – in the context of both environmental and cultural challenges - while nurturing inclusive, participatory, and speculative approaches that bridge academic inquiry and embodied action.
