Formål og prosjektbeskrivelse
The aim of this activity is to collaboratively develop a training module on climate neutrality at the urban and metropolitan levels (covering causes, effects, solutions, and the impact of adopted measures at all urban levels: from the building level, through the neighborhood scale addressing issues such as sustainable mobility and energy, to the metropolitan landscape level with nature-based-solution for a resilient and bio-diverse geography) by Babeș-Bolyai University and The Institute of Urbanism and Landscape at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design. The module will be designed to be adaptable for use as an optional course / workshop in any university, irrespective of its specific academic profile. The development of the module will draw upon concrete examples, including the tangible challenges posed by climate change in the participating cities, with input directly sourced from the respective public administrations. To shape the format and curriculum, input and / or feedback will be gathered directly from the targeted audience - the students (facilitated by the Cluj Youth Federation, the Icelandic Youth Environmentalist Association and Metapolis Architects). Once finalized, the curriculum will be accessible to all public universities in Cluj-Napoca (reaching an estimated 20,000 students annually) and it will also be made available to interested universities in Iceland and Norway. Implementation of the curriculum could be tailored to the specific operational framework of each university.
