Language requirements
Language of Instruction:
Most programs at the College of Design and Innovation (D&I) at Tongji University are taught in English, especially those aimed at international students and joint programs.
When can you apply?
Design students who are in their 6th and 7th semester at the time of application.
The academic year
- Fall Semester: Starts in mid-August and runs through January
- Spring Semester: Starts in mid-February and ends in July.
Expenses and scholarships
Study fees
As an exchange student you pay only the AHO semester fee.
Accommodation
International students are housed in serviced apartments on Siping Campus, with access to restaurants, cafés, and other facilities. Rooms vary in type and price.
How to apply
Apply by February 1st for the autumn semester or September 15th for the spring semester.

For exchange students, nomination deadlines are:
- Fall Semester: May 15
- Spring Semester: November 15
