Course description
The course consists of two modules: Drawing exercises and Form studies. The course focuses on idea development and form concept development through drawing practice and mockup building. Form concepts are explored both two-dimensionally and three-dimensionally, using paper, digital tools, and physical models in relevant materials.
The course encourages experimental and exploratory processes aiming at the development of novel form alternatives through the widest possible solution space, to stimulate the students into development of their own aesthetical voice.
Through practicing various drawing techniques in analog and digital media, the student will develop form concepts through rich exploration of form alternatives applied to products. The development of form propositions will be framed by a set of given design parameters.
The course will lead to a physical exhibition presenting the course production, where drawing exercises and physical mockups in various materials will highlight the thematic breath and material diversity in the students' production.
