The course is connected to the following study programs
- Master of Architecture
Course description
Studio Positions continues to explore the role of architecture as a mediator between human culture and the environment. In the fall of 2025, we will introduce a new course series titled "Matter and Motion". This series will investigate architecture's relationship with time and space, focusing on a specific location and material.
The semester will begin by exploring one of the many examples of human interactions and alteration of a natural landscape in Norway. Projects will investigate architecture's ability to aesthetically mediate the relations between landscape, geology, and built structure through the concepts of continuity and addition.
The projects will be developed in different media: by hand drawings and digital drawings, photo, film, text and physical models
