To do something new, you have to stop doing something old.

Step to the Future challenges the wasteful footwear system by exploring production methods that break free from traditional assembly lines. Dozens of stitched and glued components are replaced by one flexible material, that integrates key properties.

Localized manufacturing can be a driver for innovation across product, process, position, and paradigm. This hands-on, future-oriented exploration culminates in a prototyped case study.

Sneaker Boots for Helly Hansen – built for storms, styled for streets.

Fully 3D printed with embedded lightweight air pocket insulation. 100% monomaterial. Blurring the lines between technical utility and urban style. Protective, stylish innovation you can feel. Supportive yet plush, responsive yet soft.
