Background and experience

My background is from the intersection between visual art and visual communication. My interest is a holistic take on communication, stretching from visual communication to feedback culture and performative communication situations.

My core themes are visual vocabulary, interpretation of expressions, the relation between image & text, communication and storytelling. But I am also deeply engaged in revealing and understanding the roots and references of our visual history.

My independent professional practice includes drawing, text, film, photography and installations. I cultivate connections with editorial environments as designer and illustrator and have been working closely with the the newspaper Klassekampen since 2015.

At Aho I help students connect with the best tool there is in the box – drawing. I help with the mysteries of print, paper, typography – technically how to solve it. But even more important in the world of visuals – conceptually how to solve it. I engage in discussions on: how to communicate, what to communicate and maybe why communicate at all?

Areas of responsibility

Drawing, visual media, communication. Feedback culture.
