Admission To Study

Admission to study is granted to those who have been accepted to a study programme.

The admission to study will be revoked on the basis of the following:

  • When the study is completed.
  • If you notify in writing that you wish to end your studies.
  • If you fail to fulfill your obligations under § 3-1 of the Regulations on Admission, Studies and Examinations at AHO, and have not been granted leave of absence from the study.
  • If you have used the maximum number of attempts without passing a course that is mandatory for the study programme.
  • If you obtain the right to study in another study programme at AHO.
  • If you do not complete at least 30 credits per academic year. When calculating one academic year, deferred start of studies, temporary exclusion from AHO or granted leave of absence are not included. Special rules may apply to executive master's studies.
  • If you have not met the conditions for a conditional offer upon admission.
  • If you have submitted false or falsified documentation in connection with the application for admission.
  • If you have not submitted original diplomas for diploma verification.

If you are in risk of losing your right to study, you will be given written advance notice no later than the start of the semester. If a decision is made to revoke your right to study, you will be notified in writing of the decision. The notification must state the reasons for the decision and the possibility of appealing the decision. If you lose your right to study, you can apply for new admission to the study programme, unless you lose your right to study on the basis of §3-6, fourth paragraph, of the regulations on admission, studies and examinations at AHO.
