Mycelium bio-composites is a material made by growing fungi in organic matter. Through this process the fungi bind itself to the matter, and by drying it you get a stiff block of material. The use of mycelium in architecture is at a starting point. This thesis aims to understand the processes and risks that comes with making mycelium bio-composites. The goal has been to put this research into designing a pavilion, that could exhibit the results and to test the scalability of the material.
