Professor/førsteamanuensis i arkitekturteori- og historie

Utsatt søknadsfrist 10. desember

The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, Institute of form, theory and history, announces a vacancy in architectural theory and history for an associate or full professor.

The position is linked to AHO’s new Centre for Architectural Theory and History (CATH) – a humanities based research centre dedicated to documentation, interpretation, and contextualisation of architecture as a cultural, historical and material phenomenon. Architectural history and theory at AHO
The CATH centre belongs within the Institute of form, theory and history (FTH) at AHO, an institute responsible for teaching and research within architectural history, theory and conservation at all levels in the school. FTH has a well established tradition for theoretical and historical research and the CATH centre builds on this strength, encompassing a vibrant and transdisciplinary community of researchers.  With projects ranging from critical conservation theory to landscape history, the CATH centre cultivates a broad and multifaceted approach to the built environment and its historical and contemporary significance. A common denominator is found, however, in the centre’s emphasis on combining updated theoretical perspectives with meticulous archival and object-oriented research.
