Tom Vavik is Associate Professor at Institute of Design at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, where he teaches ergonomics and user-centered design.
Since his Master’s degree in physiology from the University of Oslo, Tom has gained 30 years of experience in teaching ergonomics to students in product design as well as interaction design and he has lectured at many universities and organizations in addition to conferences. Tom has published books and articles and has for four years been jury leader of the Design for All category in the annual Design Award program organized by the Norwegian Design Council.
His last work is as editor for the book Inclusive Buildings, Products and Services. Challenges in Universal Design, which was launched in 2009.
