Professor at The Institute of Form, Theory and History. Visual artist.
Teaches analytic freehand drawing and composition at different levels of the education of architects and designers at AHO, with the first year students as a major responsibility.
The aim is to establish a basis for professional observation, “reading” and describtion within the field of visual form. This is done through the study of threedimentionality with reference to geometry by means of a continuous schedule of practical exercises of sketching and drawing. A focus is to increase the sensibility to contrasts as well as rythmic continuity within the visual context.
A closely coached croquis-drawing session belongs to the program.
Løkses teaching of analytic freehand drawing and composition is based and nourished by his ongoing studio works. For the time being his tools are pencil and charcoal. The works are to be published at peer reviewed galleries.
