Masterdegree in History of Ideas and Art History, University of Aarhus, Denmark. Ph.D. with the dissertation Den stilløse stil. Adolf Loos, 1999 (published in German 2005, see below). Second doctoral dissertation (dr.phil.) accepted for defence at University of Aarhus and under publication; the topic being the Gesamtkunstwerk and the moderne art forms, 1850-1930.

Designstudies with focus on design history and theory. Further the history and theories of art and architecture, especially the German area 1800-1930.
