Personal data in student project
Are you collecting data regarding persons in your student project? Then your project may be subsequent to the Personal Data Regulations, and you must register your project with the Privacy Ombudsman for Research.
The Privacy Ombudsman for Research has been delegated the responsibility in relation to the Personal Data Act by the Data Inspectorate.
This means that all projects, both research and student projects, that collects and uses personal data, must be registered by the Privacy Ombudsman.
The system is based on self-reporting. If you plan to collect personal data in your project, you must fill out a form and send the form to your local Privacy Ombudsman representative.
