The semester registration consists of three parts:
1) Signing up for courses
All students must register for courses through the registration portal Studentweb. Please note that you must sign up for courses for the whole academic year 2012-2013.
Studentweb will be open for course registrations for the academic year 2012-2013 between 8 May and 31 May.
All new international students will receive an email with usernumber and pin code for Studweb. Please contact the Academic Services if you have trouble signing in.
Descriptions of the various courses can be found in the course catalogue. As the courses have a restricted number of places, your registration is seen as an application to a course. Students will be ranked on the basis of seniority, i.e. students who have studied for the longest period will be given priority.
You may apply for three studio courses and three elective courses in prioritized order from 1-3 per semester.
Studio courses: You may only apply for courses offered in your academic program; architecture, industrial design or landscape architecture. For the autumn semester 2012 you may list courses with codes starting with "H12". For the spring semester 2013 you may list courses with codes starting with "V13".
Elective courses: you may choose among courses offered by all institutes. New Non-Nordic architecture students must follow the course "Norwegian Architecture - an Introduction".
The results of the course assignment will be announced in an e-mail from the Academic Services during summer 2012. Please note that both the pin-code and all official e-mails will be sent to your AHO e-mail address. It is therefore important for you to check this regularly.
2) Update your semester address
Please update your postal address under the topic "Registrations" in Studentweb.
3) Pay semester fee
The NOK 617,40 semester fee is mandatory for all regular AHO students. The invoice is available from your Studweb profile under the topic "Payments"
Exchange students are exempt from paying semester fee to AHO, but must pay a copy fee of NOK 177,40.
The semester registration process must be completed within 1 September 2012.
