Master's level admission in industrial design

Students with a completed bachelor or equivalent undergraduate education of at least three years duration in industrial design, may apply for admission directly into the fourth year (master's level) of the one-tier Master of Industrial Design programme at AHO.

Two-step application process
All applications must be submitted digitally through the online application service Søknadsweb. You can register your application between 1 February 2012 and 1 April 2012. 

The following attachments are must be submitted in order to complete the application:

  • Transcript of records from previous relevant education
  • Digital portfolio of industrial design projects 
  • CV
  • Documentation of satisfactory knowledge of English

International applicants from outside the Nordic countries must be able to document satisfactory English skills. Read about the requirements here.

Note that the digital portfolio must be uploaded to Søknadsweb.

Transcripts of records from previous relevant studies and documentation of knowledge of English (if applicable) must both be uploaded to Søknadsweb and forwarded to AHO per post.

1. Submit online application form
Go to Søknadsweb to register your application.

You will first be asked to register as an international applicant. After registration you will receive an email with the log on credentials for Søknadsweb.

Please note that it will not be possible to submit applications after 11.59pm (GMT +1) 1 April 2012.

2. Forward the required attachments per post 
The required attachments; transcript of records, documentation of satisfactory knowledge of English and CV must be post-stampet 1 April at the latest.

Incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration. If you complete your bachelor's degree later in the spring or summer 2012, you must submit transcripts of records from the semesters you have completed by 1 April.

Response to the application
All applications will be handled after the 1 April application deadline. The results will be ready by 15 May. From 15 May you can log on to Søknadsweb to check the status of your application.

Financial issues for international students

There is no tuition fee at AHO.

We do not offer scholarships.

General costs of living for a student in Oslo is app. 1150 euros per month.

Non-European students must document economic subsistence in order to obtain a student residence permit in Norway. Learn more here.

All applicants that get admitted to AHO through Master's level admission must be prepared to present original diploma and transcript of records for control by AHO upon arrival at AHO.
