First year admissions

AHO admits 60 architecture students and 30 industrial design students each year, through the Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service (NUCAS).

Admission is based on the minimum requirements for Higher Education Entrance Qualification in Norway, fulfilling the language requirements and passing the admission exams at AHO.

Applicants from most European countries are eligible for admission upon completion of the secondary school leaving certificate that provides the basis for admission to university studies in their home country. To find out if you meet the higher education entrance qualifications in Norway, you can contact NUCAS (Samordna opptak). 

Please note that you have to document fluent knowledge of the Norwegian language in order to be eligible for admission first year (undergraduate) admission.

Application deadline is April 15th for ordinary admissions for applicants with standard Norwegian or Nordic high school education, and March 1st for those with international or foreign educations.
