Admission to Master of Landscape Architecture

Students who have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent in landscape architecture are eligible for admission to Master of Landscape Architecture at AHO.

Two-step application process
All applications must be submitted digitally through our online application service Søknadsweb. You can register your application between 1 February 2012 and 1 April 2012. 

The following attachments must be submitted in order to complete the application:

  • Certified copies of transcript of records from previous relevant education
  • Paper-based portfolio of architectural projects
  • CV
  • Documentation of satisfactory knowledge of English
  • Letter of motivation
  • 1 passport-sized photo

International applicants from outside the Nordic countries must be able to document satisfactory English skills. Read about the requirements here.

All required attachments must be forwarded to AHO per post after the online registration.

Please note that transcripts of records from previous relevant studies and documentation of knowledge of English (if applicable) must both be uploaded to Søknadsweb and forwarded to AHO per post.

1. Submit online application form
Go to Søknadsweb to register your application.

You will first be asked to register as an international applicant. After registration you will receive an email with the log on credentials for Søknadsweb.

Please note that it will not be possible to submit applications after 11.59pm (GMT +1) 1 April 2012.

2. Forward the required attachments per post 
The portfolio must be no bigger than A3-format. Please make sure to mark the front page of the portfolio with your name.

Please note that all copies of transcripts of records must be certified by stamp and signature from a public office, or sent directly in a sealed envelope from the issuing university.

Incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration. If you complete your bachelor's degree later in the spring or summer 2012, you must submit transcripts of records from the semesters you have completed by 1 April.

Response to the application
All applications will be handled after the 1 April application deadline. The results will be ready by 15 May 2012. From 15 May you can log on to Søknadsweb to check the status of your application.

AHO does not return portfolios
If you want your portfolio back after the admissions process is completed, it can be picked up at AHO between 15 May and 1 August.

Financial issues for international students

There is no tuition fee at AHO.

We do not offer scholarships.

General costs of living for a student in Oslo is app. 1150 euros per month.
