About the workshops
The workshop facilites at AHO are unique, even in an international context.
The school's own workshop wing is located on the ground floor, with main departments for wood, plastic and metal. In addition, there is a full scale construction hall, and a work shop for rapid prototyping.
The workshops are staffed and available for the students during the following hours:
08.00-15.45 (Sep 15th - May 14th)
08.00-15.00 (May 15th - Sep 14th)
The school also has an unstaffed student workshop available for the students at all hours. The individual student is responsible for keeping this workshop clean and tidy.
All students are encouraged to get familiar with the workshops as soon as possible. A basic training will be given during the first term of the studies.
The students must cover their own material costs. A selection of materials are sold in the work shops. Measuring and marking equipment must be brought by the students themselves.
