November 25th: Crossover between Business, Design and Research
Design has a strong role to play in the innovation of services, through its customer-centric approach and ability to transform these customer insights into compelling service experiences. Service Design rethinks the role of design and brings it closer to the needs of the service provider.
We see the need for a dialogue to understand this common ground, and have therefore established a crossover day, that enables this. The crossover day encourages dialogue between the different disciplines that together form Service Design. We will have both a formalised set of tutorials and workshops, and in addition support spontaneously formed discussions.
Themes that will be covered during this day:
- methods to aid innovation in services
- ICT support for capture of customer input
- prototyping services
- design thinking and service design leadership
