Synne Geirsdatter Frydenberg var en av 16 prisvinnere under vårens AHO Awards.
Prize for intelligent training jacket
During this year AHO Awards, 16 awards were handed out to studio and diploma projects that have excelled. One of the winners was a diploma candidate Synne Geirsdatter Frydenberg who received the Prize for interaction design for her diploma project where she has developed an intelligent cross-country skiing jacket.
AHO Awards is an opportunity for the school and the award sponsors to provide recognition for student projects that have excelled. This spring, 16 awards were handed out.
One of the projects that stood out was Synne Geirsdatter Frydenbergs diploma project Freke, where she has developed an intelligent training jacket, in collaboration with Helly Hansen and the German Research Frauhofer IZM. The jacket has built-in software and hardware components that the user can select and calibrate according to their needs.
But there were many interesting award winning projects, like the diploma project ‘Aided transportation’ by Mario Pereira Bostad and Fredrik Olsen which received the prize for both ‘Form and expression’ and ‘Innovation in design’ for their design of a wheelchair. See all award winners below.
