Explored the edge of light
On January 21st, a group of researchers from AHOs Institute of Design and associated partners invited to the seminar Oslo Lux: Edge of Light.
The seminar aimed at exploring the role that light can play in shaping and altering the space around us, by bringing together leading international practitioners (artists, designers and researchers) using technology and light in new and dynamic ways.

The seminar included talks and contributions by renown artists, designers and architects such as UNITED VISUAL ARTISTS (UVA) and ANTI-VJ, Adam Pruden (Research Fellow at MIT Senseable Lab), Timo Arnall, Squidsoup, HC Gilje, Marius Watz, Birger Sevaldson and Natasha Barrett, Stig Skjelvik and Kjetil Austvoll-Dahlgren.
The seminar was fully booked, but the keynote lecture by Ben Kreukniet of United Visual Artists was held as an open guest lecture in AHOs cafeteria, giving an even larger audience the opportunity to take part.

In addition to talks and presentations of work, the seminar was complemented by a series of artworks at the AHO Gallery and in and around AHO. The opening of the main exhibition in AHOs Gallery concluded the seminar on January 21st, with introduction talks by Anthony Rowe and Ståle Stenslie. The exhibition, lasting until 28th of January, displayed the works Ocean of Licht: Surface by the research and art collaborative Squidsoup and partners (including associate professor at AHO, Anthony Rowe), and Light Canvas by Joanie Lemercier of AntiVJ.
