Continues work on their projects
The 23 AHO students currently studying in China is continuing to work on their projects.
The architecture masters students are this semester in Caochangdi, China to cooperate with architect and artist Ai Weiwei and his team on an exhibition for the Gwangju Design Bienniale in South Korea in September.
This Monday, it was announced that Ai Weiwei and one of his assistants had been detained by Chinese police on their way to Hong Kong. AHO is currently in contact with the students and the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing. Both students and their teachers are doing well and are continuing to work on their academic projects.
The master course "V11AS5 The means of architectural production 7: Invisible structures" is part of a series of design and production-oriented master's studios in advanced architecture, which each semester invites an international teacher. Previous guest teachers include Philipe Rahm, Anne Lacaton, Kumiko Inui, Emanuel Christ and Christoph Gantenbein, Francisco and Manuel Aires Mateus and Ryue Nishizawa. Course coordinator is assistant professor Neven Fuchs-Mikac with assistance from Chris Engh, siv. arch. MNAL.
