AHO announces PhD research fellows
AHO currently calls for applications for 6 PhD reseach fellowships linked to four ongoing research projects. The application deadline for all positions is May 16th, 2011.
Research fellow, Systems Oriented Design
Institute of Design, AHO
One full-time Ph.D. fellowship for a three year period starting in September 2011. Applicants must hold a master’s degree in industrial design, interaction design, graphic design or interior design. Based at the Institute of Design (IDE), the position will join the research project Ulstein Bridge Concept, an innovation project with the Norwegian shipyard company Ulstein Group and partners from the maritime sector.

Two full-time Ph.D. research fellowships for a three year period based at AHOs Institute of Design, starting September 2011. The positions will be part of a larger research initiative linked to the Centre for Service Innovation, recently awarded by the Norwegian Research Council and based at NHH.

Full-time position as Ph.D. research fellow for a three year period starting 1. August 2011. The position is part of the research project Scarcity and Creativity in the Built Environment (SCIBE), investigating how conditions of scarcity might affect the creativity of the different actors involved in the production of architecture and urban design, and how design-led innovation could improve the built environment in the future.

Research fellows, Place and Displacement: Exhibiting Architecture

Two full-time Ph.D. fellowships for a three year period starting September 2011. The successful applicants will join the research project Place and Displacement: Exhibiting Architecture, investigating various practices of displaying architecture, both in historical and contemporary contexts. The positions are based at the Institute of Form, Theory and History (FTH) and linked to the Oslo Center for Critical Architectural Studies (OCCAS).
