New student council at AHO

There’s been a record in students voting, it is a fantastic development. It is nice that so many of you cast your vote and it ensures that the elected have support among the students. We have had an increase in candidates compared to last year. However at some positions only one candidate ran for election. We hope that there will be even more candidates in next election. This is the first time we have an election in English and we hope to get more involved with the international students.

This is the new Student Council:

Institute of Architecture Student Representative: Peder Edward Brand

Institute of Design Student Representative: Berit K Havåg

Institute of Form, Theory and History Student Representative: Daniel Jackson

Work Environment Committee Student Representative: Ribekka Beitveit

Admission Committee Architecture Student Representative: Andreas Trollvik

Admission Committee Design Student Representative: Espen Unaas

AHO Board Student Representative: Jørn Are Vigestad Berge and Sara Hagerup Billing

Chief Public Relations Officer: Oda Sortland

To the positions nobody candidated we now have three students:

• Sigurborg Ósk Haraldsdóttir and Martin Halleraker are running for Urbanism and Landscape Institute Student Representative.
• Ssinabulya Emmanuel is running for Exchange Student Representative.

The new Student Council will vote about these positions at the first meeting.
