New book: AHO Works 2010
This week AHO launches the book AHO Works. Student projects review 2010, which aims to display the diversity and high quality of the student work produces at AHO in the last year.
The book presents a number of student projects within the fields of architecture, urban studies, landscape architecture , product- and interaction design.
The presented projects have been selected amongst all the projects nominated for awards during the AHO Works exhibition each spring and winter. In addition, some projects have been especially chosen for the book. The selection is done by an editorial team with professor Christain Hermansen and students Richard Øiestad and John-Roe Luna.
This is the third volume of the AHO Works book. In the introduction to the book, rector Karl Otto Ellefsen writes:
"AHO has established two yearly exhibitions that review and celebrate student projects. AHO WORKS: Student Projects Review 2010 presents a selection of the best projects exhibited in 2009 and is the third volume in the series that has been edited by a group of students headed by Professor Christian Hermansen.
AHO WORKS this year documents a more sound and professional bachelor program, a more thematically faceted design program, and strong experimental studios in architecture. Generally the link between research programs and Master level studios is clearer and more easily traceable in the projects than was previously the case, especially so in design studios.
AHO would like to be judged by what is produced in the school. I believe AHO WORKS: Student projects Review 2010 provides evidence of our achievements in our studio programs".
The book is formally launched Thursday June 10th at 5 pm, but can be bought at the AHO reception from Wednesday June 9th.
The book costs 50 NOK.
