Minister of Trade and Industry to open AHO exhibition

Minister of Trade and Industry in Norway, Trond Giske, visits AHO in relation to the opening of the exhibition "Norwegian car design" on Wednesday, November 24th.

The exhibition will give an overview of Norwegian car design from the fifties up to the present day, and present a series of more or less well-known Norwegian car designers. In addition, the exhibition will displayed a selection of car models.

The exhibition in Gallery AHO lasts from 24. November to 8. December, with an official opening on Wednesday 24 November at 1 pm.

Curator of the exhibition is professor Birger Sevaldson and associate professor Geir Øxseth from AHO. The exhibition is sponsored by Eker design.

The minister has on several occasions emphazised the importance of Norwegian design as a trade industry, both in Norway and abroad. Giske has in the last year attended several design conferences organized by the Norwegian Design Council.

- It's a great pleasure for us to have the Minister here for the opening, says curators Sevaldson and Øxseth. - We appreciate how Giske helps us enlighten the role of design both for the economy and for the society in general. This also shows the importance of industrial design as a factor in the trade industry in Norway, Sevaldson continues.
