Mari Lending new professor at AHO

The position is linked to the research centre  The Oslo Centre of Critical Architectural Studies (OCCAS).

There were 17 applicants for the position, evaluated by an external, international committee.

The committees stated: "Lendings scholary range and her ability to engage wide range of topics, methodologies and formats bears witness to a well established scholary trajectory. Her ability to engage various audiences and formats from scholary writing to critisism fits well with multifaceted assignments og the new professorship, which includes leading the new center. It also shows strong potential as a teacher able to operate on multiple levels and a thesis adviser able and willing to engage a wide range of topics."

Mari Lending is currently head at the Institute of form, theory and history, and will still function in this position. Lending holds a masters degree in literature from the University of Oslo, and a PhD in architectural history from AHO. She has previously been a post doc. at AHO and a guest researcher at Columbia University, NY.
