Rektor Karl Otto Ellefsen taler til de nye studentene.

- AHO needs you!

Last week, close to 180 new students took  hold of their studies at AHO. – Give us all that you have - AHO needs you! was rector's message to the new arrivals.

Matriculation
On Friday 20 August, the students were invited to the formar matriculation ceremony of new students, a proof of that ”you  have come through the cracks", as vice-rector Jonathan Romm said in his welcome message.

For the occattion dressed in his formal robe,  rector Karl Otto Ellefsen greeted the new students welcome to a traditional institution that has grown considerably in recent years. While he pointed out that this probably has caused some "growing pains", he reminded that the school's growth has facilitated a wide and varied academic environment where students can assemble and compose their own degree based on interests and abilities.

Solid, but demanding
- AHO offer you a solid, but demanding education, he said. - Architecture and design are subjects that require that you are committed. It may feel hard at times, but still: - Give us what you have - AHO need committed and motivated students.

Ellefsen also reminded the students that this is a school: -Right now the process is more important than the result. See the school as a laboratory where you can test out theories, and as a library, where you can pull out knowledge from the walls.
