Design awards to former AHO students

The award for Designer of the year went to the design duo Stokke Austad for the design of  Upholstered Chair for Casamania. The chair was also nominated in the category for Best design.

The duo, comprised by Jonas Ravnlo Stokke and Øystein Austad, took their diploma at AHO in 2006, and has received a lot of attention for their work. The firm is also resopnsible for the design of the 100% Norway pavillion at the London Design festival this month.

Nominee for Best design was also former AHO student Hans Bleken Rud, with his lamp Scheisse! for Northern Lightning. He did not win, but instead he was giwen the award for Best New Designer.
