Occas on futures: Shaping futures: A life vessel task. Scenario based discursive design

Based on the UN Climate report, there is reason to expect that over the next 100 years, a large number of people will be driven from their land due to climate changes. The northern hemisphere will, in such a situation, probably constitute the most habitable part of the globe, and should expect a large pressure of migrants.

How can we prepare ourselves for such a scenario? What role can architecture and design play? And not least, how can other disciplines inform architecture of such a future?

The discussion is led by Børre Skodvin of Jensen & Skodvin architects and Head of Institute of Architecture, AHO. Representatives from law, literature and food culture attend.
